My little boy turned 1 last Monday.
I definitely cried.
A lot.
We decided to celebrate it anyway.
Please enjoy.
As you may have already noticed, it was Minion-themed.
We decided to have the party at a local park that had a pavilion and a place for the little ones who could walk to expend some pent up energy.
We were worried that it was going to be so hot out that we would melt. Fortunately, there was some wind. Unfortunately, it was a helluvah lot of wind. Twenty minutes of attempting to tape down the first tablecloth = Wind 1, Party 0. Tim drove back home to rummage through the junk drawer and found enough binder clips to hold down tablecloth #2. Wind 1, Party 1.
Tablecloth #3 was held down by 8 pizzas, 5 2-liter sodas, 2 bags of chips, dips, plates, forks, and bowls. Wind 1, Party 2.
Ethan needed to eat some lunch before we unleashed him onto his smash cake. It would appear his food was so tasty, he preferred to put his pacifier back in his mouth. Okay, okay. I’ll give you your cake! I now present to you Ethan vs. The Most Delicious Cake I Have Ever Had.
Here is the before and after.
Ethan 1, Cake Not even a snowflake’s chance in Hell.
